Trading Places

Happy Friday to everybody and I pray you have a wonderful weekend and please continue to pray for all we’ve mentioned, Our ICE agents, National Guard, Police and for Steve King to be healed from cancer Thank you so much. Our devotion today is called, ” Trading places ” Isaiah chapter 53 verse 5 says, But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed. Jesus took everything that was supposed to be laid upon us, there is a penalty for sin, Romans 6:23 says, the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord. This tells us there is a payment due and Jesus took that for me and you. 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 and verse 21 says, God made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf. God is love, but He also is law.

We see this in John Chapter 8 when the woman was caught in adultery in the very act. After all her accusers had left Jesus said to her, who accuses you, she said no one Lord, He said neither do I, Remember what Jesus had said, Let him who is without sin cast the first stone and He/Jesus was the only one without sin but He chose not to cast that stone. But remember also what he said to her, Go and sin no more. The law condemned her but grace set her free and that’s exactly what Jesus did for us. We serve such an awesome, amazing, Wonderful, loving God who traded places with us and took what was rightfully ours which was death. We can all say together, Thank you Jesus. Have a blessed weekend and always remember that Jesus loves you!
