Good day to you all from the great state of Texas. May our great God and Savior bless and keep you during this Christmas season, those who are rejoicing and those who may be mourning. Our devotion today is called, β The gift of God β Ephesians chapter two verses 8 and 9 says, for by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, It is a gift of God. Not of works, lest anyone should boast. There will be a lot of gift exchanges this week. I remember as a child getting so excited about the gifts underneath the tree and what was in them. I would even pick them up and feel them to see if I could figure out what it was. A gift is something you get for free. And the greatest gift ever given was the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.
Without that gift to mankind, mankind would be lost, without hope! but because God the Father sent his Son all those years ago to take the sin of the world, Now we do have hope. Salvation is something you cannot buy, you cannot work for it, you cannot brag that you worked hard to get this or that your talent brought you this far because all glory, all honor goes to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It is through His grace that we are brought into a relationship that will finally bring us into a place called heaven and itβs all because of Jesus. The greatest gift ever given is our Heavenly Father sending His only begotten Son to take the penalty that was rightfully ours. I think we can all say together, thank you Lord for the wonderful work that you have done. Have a blessed and wonderful day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
