And The Good News Is

Happy Day after Christmas everybody. I hope you had a great great Christmas and we are another year closer to seeing Jesus. ” And the good news is? ” Is the title of our devotion today. Luke chapter 2 verse 10 says then the Angel said to them, Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. Christmas only comes once a year but we should keep it in mind all year long. To meditate on what God did for us by sending Jesus to be born in a Manger to be raised up just like any other child and then to begin to spread the gospel at the age 30 and then to go to the cross to die for the sin of the world and raise from the dead. It is definitely the greatest story ever told and what’s really crazy is it’s true! The word angel in the Bible can mean a messenger and when it comes down to it we are all messengers if we are born again, of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And the good news is that this is to all people not just a chosen few but to whoever would call upon the name of the Lord, Romans chapter 10 and verse 13 says, For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Let’s not let Christmas slip away in the sense of forgetting what God has done through his Son and let’s keep in mind how much God loves us throughout this New Year coming up to remember that this is not it. That we have a future that goes into eternity with our brothers and sisters and with those that have gone before us. So if you’re leaving a loved one behind going into 2026 and it’s hurting bad because they have passed on remember that we will see them again someday on the other side if they believed. God loves us and let’s love him back. Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
