Good day to you all and I pray that you have a wonderful blessed day on this Tuesday February 10th. Our devotion is called,”Discretion and understanding” Proverbs Chapter 2 verse 11 says discretion will preserve you, Understanding will keep you. As the writer goes on he tells us what discretion and understanding will keep us from and it is basically from the evil influence of this world. Discretion is behaving yourself in a way that doesn’t cause arguments or problems. Which goes along with Romans chapter 12 And verse 18 which says, if at all possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men.
How we behave ourselves and how we talk is so important to being able to live peaceably and so to have discretion fulfills that. And he says understanding, A lot of times we don’t look at what the other person is going through or thinking or has been through and we will talk to them according to their actions instead of having discretion and understanding. It’s easy to love people that love you but what about those that have been through a horrible life and now they have a horrible attitude?
Maybe we should take into consideration that a person who might have a bad attitude such as being angry or being a drunk or whatever they might be using to drown out what has happened to them in their life, that they need some of God’s love. As children of God let’s practice discretion and understanding and learn to love the unlovable! Please continue to pray for our ICE agents across this country for our leadership in our country And Please remember that Jesus sure loves you!
