Good day to you all and I pray you’ve had a blessed week so far. Our devotion on this Thursday is called, ” Plant your feet on the narrow street ” Proverbs chapter 4 verses 26 and 27 says, Ponder the path of your feet, and let all your ways be established. Do not turn to the right or to the left, remove your foot from evil. Jesus talked about this path in Matthew Chapter 7 verses 13 and 14 which says, Enter by the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.
The narrow road is more difficult because we are held to a higher standard. The things that we used to do so easily like get drunk, say whatever comes to our mind, lie, cheat, And steal are things that we lay aside. And not only that, we have gained an enemy called the devil which comes against us at every turn. But at the same time we end up with a blessed life, a life free from the bondage of all I just mentioned. Proverbs 4:26 says to ponder or meditate on the path you’re on. And to let your ways be established, Don’t turn to the right or left and remove your foot from evil. It’s very clear that God wants us to be a goody two shoes. Not that we are perfect but we are definitely different. Stay on that narrow road that leads to heaven, follow Jesus! Follow Jesus, Walking down this street , follow Jesus, Tell everyone you meet to follow Jesus . Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
