Fear God Hate Evil

Good day to you all and I pray you are blessed whoever reads this and your families. I will be going live tonight at 6:00 California time 8:00 Texas time and we will be in the book of Acts chapter 4. Our devotion on this Wednesday is called, “Fear God hate evil”. Proverbs Chapter 8 and verse 13 says, The fear of the LORD is to hate evil; Pride and arrogance And the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate. There are certain things in this life that bring fear into our hearts. Most of us will have fear if we see a snake or a big spider and it causes us to stay completely away from it. But the fear spoken of here is a fear that draws us to God not away from Him. A healthy fear will get us off the railroad track when a train is coming. A healthy fear will keep us safe from things that will do us harm whether it is a spider or a snake, drugs or alcohol, or any other thing that might do us harm. But how often do we think of pride and arrogance being part of that? How often do we think of the perverse mouth or evil language being part of that? Well they are, because they can do damage to our soul.

As to fear the Lord, I believe that means that we will be fearful of what will happen when we do these things spoken of here in verse 13. And one of those things will be to break fellowship with God! And that’s why first John chapter 1 verse 9 says, if we confess our sin he is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So if we don’t confess that means we break fellowship and we no longer have that access to God for that fellowship until we confess. Instead of confessing let’s just walk with God, and fear Him and what will happen if we practice things that are contrary to Him! God’s desire for each and every one of us is always good. That’s why He tells us to stay away from these things. I Peter chapter 5 and verse 5 says, Likewise you younger people, Submit yourself to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, For God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble. Have a blessed day please continue to pray for our ICE agents and our leadership in our country to be victorious and always remember that Jesus loves you!
