Good day and thank you everybody that came on the Bible study last night. we had a great time. Please pray for our great state Texas. There are 350 mosques here now and that’s not all of what’s going on but the good news is we just passed a law that stops Sharia law in our state. Texas is Ground Zero for the takeover so please pray for us and we’ll pray for you. Our devotion today is called, ” The Great Council of God ” Proverbs Chapter 18 verse 14 through 17 says, counsel is mine, and sound wisdom; I am understanding, I have strength. By me king’s reign, and rulers decree justice. By me Prince’s rule, and nobles, all the judges of the earth. I love those who love me, and those who seek me diligently will find me. Psalms chapter one and verse one says, Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of the sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful.
The counsel of God is the word of God and it lights our path and directs our way. There is nothing else on this planet that will guide us into a good life like the Word of God led by the Holy Spirit. We could go to all the self help classes that we want and read all the books on self esteem and living a better life and living your best life now and all the rest of the garbage that’s out there but the true guide to happiness is the Word of God. The Word of God is alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and as a discerner of the thoughts and the intents of the heart. And last, The word of God builds our faith, Romans chapter 10 and verse 17, faith comes by hearing, hearing by the word of God. God left us this beautiful Bible to read and to help on our journey.
