Good Monday morning and I pray everybody had a blessed weekend. Our Devotion on this Monday is called, ” Without love we ain’t nothin “ I Corinthians chapter 13 and verse one says, though I speak with the tongues of men and angels, and have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. When this was written they would stand in the marketplace and if they wanted your attention they would take a symbol and hit it and it made an annoying noise but it got your attention and that’s what Paul is getting across is that we are but a bunch of noise without love. What we are doing and why we are doing it is so important!
Our Lord wants to be the source of everything we’re doing whether it’s feeding the poor, visiting somebody in a hospital, or helping somebody in need. The motive behind it should come from loving God. 1st Corinthians 13 is like a warm summer day With those white puffy clouds and everything going perfectly. It is a beautiful chapter because it is all about love and first John chapter 4:8 says, He who does not love does not know God, for God is love. So let’s just put it like this, Love Is All about Jesus because Jesus is love!
And I think we all can agree and say, I want to be more like Jesus! When I look at the life of Jesus I see 1st Corinthians chapter 13 being lived out in perfect time. Paul said in 1st Corinthians eleven one, follow me as I follow Jesus. Let’s Live and love more like Jesus. Have a wonderful blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
