Good Monday morning to everybody and I sure hope you had a blessed weekend. Our devotion today is called, ” Dishonest vs Just ” Proverbs Chapter 11 and verse one says dishonest scales are an abomination to the LORD, But a just weight is His delight. With what we see going on in our country in California and Wisconsin and who knows where else I can see why we are trillions of dollars in debt and I can see why God calls this an abomination. Dishonesty is such an ugly thing to lie to a person as you’re ripping them off is so ugly. Back in the day when this was written they would do business with scales and they could set their scale in a way that would give a dishonest reading. Nowadays I guess it would be called fixing the books. Whether it’s large scale or small it is always wrong. But a just weight is His delight.
Honesty is such a beautiful thing to be truthful and up front about whatever situation may come our way. It is always better to tell the truth. Sometimes I watch the show cops and they will tell the people just tell me the truth And I’ve watched them treat the person way better when that happens. And when we think about it someday we will answer for our lives and what we’ve done whether it’s dishonest or just and it’s going to be standing before God Almighty which means there is no fooling God, it should put some fear in us! We can be dishonest or just in our workplace, At home, in our relationships, or even with strangers because we can be dishonest about who we are or we can be honest about who we are.
It is so important to do our best to be a just person! I’m not preaching perfection but I am preaching walking with Christ and when I walk with Christ I am gonna be a better and just person! i hope you all have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
