Has the Church replaced Israel? The teaching of replacement theology began around the second century AD. My personal belief is that it came about because God didn’t immediately come back and set up His kingdom. I’m Writing this not to get into a debate but to give my point of view which is, Israel to day is the Israel of the Old Testament! Romans Chapter 11 and verse 1 says, I say then has God castaway his people? Certainly not! I also am an Israelite of the seed of Abraham of the tribe of Benjamin. But some might say, but Israel has been wicked And I would say who hasn’t! 90% of the kings of Israel were evil but God still calls Israel the apple of his eye, Zechariah 2:8. Romans Chapter 11 verse 11 Paul says speaking of the Jew, I say then, have they stumbled that they should fall? Certainly not! but through their fall, To provoke them to jealousy salvation has come to the Gentiles. Verse 13 for I speak to you Gentiles, in as much as I am an apostle to the Gentiles, I magnify my ministry. If by any means I may provoke to jealousy, those who are of my flesh and save some of them, speaking of the Jews Romans 11 verse 17 says speaking to the Gentiles, And if some of the branches were broken off and you being a wild olive tree were grafted in among them and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree verse 18 do not boast against the branches but if you do boast remember that you do not support the root the root supports you speaking of the Church and Israel. Verse 26 is so clear of chapter eleven, And so all Israel will be saved.
There is so much more but I’m just give you a few verses, Jeremiah Chapter 31 verses 35 through 37, Thus says the Lord who gives the Son for light by day the ordinances of the moon and the stars for a light by night. Who disturbs the sea and its waves roar the Lord of Hosts is his name Verse 36 If those ordinances depart from before me says the Lord then the seat of Israel will also cease from being a nation before me. As far as I can see all this is still happening which means Israel is still happening.
Remember what Second Corinthians chapter 1 verse 20 says, For all the promises of God in him are yes and in him Amen. Remember in Revelation chapter 14 and verse one we see the 144,000 standing on Mount Zion with Jesus! In chapter seven of Revelation it names these tribes and says they are male virgin Jews. I want to close by her by quoting 1st Corinthians 4 And verse 5, Therefore judge nothing before the time until the Lord comes who will both bring to light the hidden things of darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts then each one’s praise will come from God.
