Happy Resurrection week to everybody and what an awesome week it is remembering that Christ rose from the dead this week all those years ago, thank you Jesus! ” Crucified and now alive ” Is the title of our devotion. In Luke Chapter 24 and verse 7 it says, the Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again. If this was an isolated incident we could doubt whether it ever happened. But Mary and the ladies with her saw Christ risen first, Matthew 28:1-10. The guys on the road Emmaus saw Jesus and had lunch with Him, Luke 24:13-27. The disciples in Luke chapter 24 and verses 38 through 44 All seen Jesus risen from the dead and then you go to First Corinthians chapter 15 Verses one through 6 tells us that a whole bunch of people saw Jesus risen from the dead.
So what does that mean to us? Well according to John Chapter 11 and verse 26 Jesus tells Martha, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this? The greatest fear among men and women is death and the greatest hope amongst men and women is Jesus because he conquered death. And if we think just a little bit about it, it wasn’t any ordinary death. It was a horrible, excruciating, humiliating death that Jesus went through for us to pay for our sins! Thank you so much Lord! Why would Christ go through so much for us? Because He loves us PERIOD! What an awesome, wonderful, mighty God we serve, there is none like Him! Let’s give him praise! Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
