Happy Wednesday to you all and please pray for my son Jason and his wife Michelle because they are flying out here to Texas tomorrow. And please continue to pray for our leadership in our country and our military that are in Iran fighting for the freedom of Iran and for the protection of America. We will be going alive tonight and be in the book of Acts Chapter 5 if you would like to join in for Bible study. Our devotion today is called, ” Don’t be stupid, LOL ” Proverbs chapter 12 and verse 1 says, whoever loves instruction loves knowledge, but he who hates correction is stupid. Knowledge does not come easily for most people, It takes work and that means a lot of study. Whatever you might be wanting to learn whether it’s music or construction or banking or whatever it might be you will have to listen to somebody teach you and more than likely correct you. I love learning and especially learning about the Bible.
I don’t know how many times I have had to go into the word and study for myself to find out if these things are so. Also it depends on how we correct somebody because we should do it in a spirit of humility and then I believe a person will be more willing to receive. But there are those who won’t receive correction and the Bible says that type of a person is stupid. Stupid is described as a lack of intelligence, Common sense, or thoughtfulness, often resulting in poor decisions or irrational actions.
Don’t be stupid because you don’t have to be. You can listen and learn if you want to and I think that is the key to so much, if a person wants to advance their life in a positive direction and in a good way. That always comes from learning. And I found out after all these years that the greatest learning that we can do is that of the Bible, to learn how God would have us behave as His people, what pleases Him, How to be successful in this life and do things that would please Him. But let’s be careful not to call anybody stupid because that is very rude and God’s word is not saying this to be rude it’s saying this to make a point And the point is receive correction and don’t be stupid.
