We are in the process of seeing if we can put up a metal building to keep everybody out of the rain and sun. The title of our devotion on this Wednesday is called, ” Love hidden is a shame even in a rebuke ‘ Proverbs chapter 27 verse 5 says, Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed. Sometimes love even when it is used properly may hurt for a moment. I think of when I had hepatitis C and I had to take medicine to cure it. They gave me some stuff called, Ribaviron and interferon and that was some of most harsh medicine I ever took in my life. The sad part is it didn’t cure the hepatitis C But then I was told about another medicine called Harvoni I think that’s how you say it, And it didn’t have the harsh effect of the other and it cured me. Kind of reminds me of how we can deal with people who we know, whether they are friends or family and love them by telling them the truth and it might not affect them. just like rebaviron and the interferon did with me but that doesn’t matter we are too tell the truth and the key is that we do it in love. Ephesians Chapter 4 and verse 15 says, Speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head Christ. Whether you do it harshly in love or kindly in love we are to tell people the truth in love and some people might need to hear it harshly, Titus 1:13 says, Therefore rebuke them sharply, that they may be sound in the Faith. That’s only when things are very serious and so, Open rebuke is better than love carefully concealed. To not say anything to a person that is heading in the wrong direction and you are the one that’s around them is like putting your stamp of approval on whatever sin they might be practicing. Don’t do that! even though it might cause some friction for a while It is worth it that you would see that person hopefully in heaven someday.
