Persuasive Words That Deceive

Good Monday morning to everyone. The title of our devotional this morning is, “ persuasive words that deceive “ And Colossians chapter 2 verses four through six it says, now this I say lest anyone should deceive you with persuasive words. For though I am absent in the flesh, yet I am with you in spirit, rejoicing to see your good order and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ. As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him. The Bible teaches that the just shall walk by faith and it says that in three different places. Paul has just explained to this church who Jesus says that He is, the Lord from heaven. But there were many people of that time who didn’t believe that and Paul was warning them. In verse five it says, who rejoice to see there good order and steadfastness and faith in Christ. And that’s what it’s all about, Is having faith in Christ . Acts chapter 4 and verse 12 says, nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. There are many out there with persuasive words, saying there’s other ways to get to Heaven, but we know as born again Christians that there is only one way. And in verse six, it says as you therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him. How did we receive Christ? By faith and it’s by faith that we walk in Him. Do you want your faith built up? If you say yes, then study the word of God, because Romans chapter 10, and verse 17 says, faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. The only persuasive words we should be listening to is in the Bible. Hope you all have a blessed day put your trust in Jesus, and always remember that he loves you!
