Good morning and it is the first Monday of October so that means the first Monday I go into TLC hospital to minister to the folks that have had a rough life. Please pray for those folks at TLC. The title of our devotion this morning is called,” He paid a debt he did not owe “, Colossians chapter two and verse 14 says, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, Which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way. Having nailed it to the cross. We all owed a debt we could not pay and that debt was sin. And Jesus paid that debt for us upon the cross. In order to get a debt removed that we could pay in the world we would have to file bankruptcy which would cost us by hiring a lawyer. But Jesus paid everything and our sin debt was much greater than any other debt we could acquire. The handwriting of requirement was definitely the law. The law is good but we could never keep it and so it condemns us. Jesus in His love towards us went to that cross, paid our sin debt and now if we would just look to Him for salvation we have a guarantee of heaven. And there’s only one other choice and that is hell. Choose Jesus and live! The thing is the Bible says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, Romans 3:23. So there is nobody in this world that does not have that debt which tells me everybody in this world needs Jesus whether they realize it or not! Choose Jesus and live! Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
