Happy Friday from Texas where it is raining cats and dogs. And our devotion today is called, ” Committing and establishing ” Proverbs chapter 16 and verse 3 says, commit your works to the LORD, and your thoughts will be established. The word commit means to roll onto and this is saying give everything to God that you are working on. In order to do that we must trust the Lord! Proverbs chapter 3 verses 5 and 6 it says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your path. So when we commit to the Lord and when we trust in the Lord He will not only establish our thoughts but He will direct our path and that is a good thing because half the time we don’t know where we’re going to. How many of us know what tomorrow brings Or better yet the next hour? None of us!
Isaiah chapter 46 verses 9 and 10 says, Remember the former things of old, for I am God , and there is no other like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done, saying, my counsel shall stand. And I will do my pleasure. So if we commit our works to the Lord His word says our thoughts will be established. We see businesses where it says established and they will put the year. And we will be established like a well run business when we commit our works to the Lord. Establish means that we will be accepted, recognized, and be in existence for a long time:)! And this will happen by committing our works to the Lord and our thoughts will be established= no more stinkin thinkin! and it’s all because of Jesus! I pray you all have a blessed weekend and please continue to pray for our leadership of our country, for our military and for Israel for complete victory. And always remember that Jesus loves you!
