Happy Monday to everybody and it is amazing we are already in March of 2026, my how time flies. Our devotion today is called “Don’t be lazy”, Proverbs Chapter 6 verses 9 through 11 says, How long will you slumber O Sluggard? When will you rise from your sleep? A little sleep, A little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep- So shall your poverty come on you like a prowler, and your need like an armed man. It seems to me that some people are just lazy and some people are energetic. How can a person come away from being lazy and fitting these verses? Well I’m not claiming to have all the answers but I remember driving down the road with my kids in the car and pointing to the homeless people, and I’m not putting down homeless people but I pointed to them and asked my kids who were very small at that time, Do you want to be like that when you grow up? They quickly said no! The teacher here Solomon warns the lazy person that poverty will come on them like a prowler and need like an armed man.
What the Bible tells us is that laziness is going to produce a horrible life! Nothing good is going to come from being lazy. I know from example that there were times when I didn’t want to get up and go to work. I didn’t feel like it but I got up anyway and I went and I worked and when I came home that day I was so glad that I did. Don’t give in to laziness, fight against it Because I believe every person or at least most people battle with laziness So don’t be lazy! Hopefully this doesn’t offend you too much if you’re lazy but the Word of God is true and it says you are gonna end up a miserable person if you continue to be that way! love you all from Texas and pray for the people of Iran because they are close to getting their country back. In 1979 the thugs came in and took over Iran. The Iranian people are great people, the leaders that they had which are now dead are horrible people so please pray for the Iranian people. Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
