Faithful Wounds Or The Enemy’s Kisses

Good day to you all and thank you to those that came on to Youtube last night at Pastor Mark 3580. It’s always a blessing to see your comments and to know you’re there. Our devotion today is called, ” Faithful wounds or the enemy’s kisses.” Proverbs Chapter 27 at verse 6 says, Faithful are the wounds of a friend, But the kisses of an enemy are deceitful. The wounds of a friend can be many things and here I believe it speaks of the wounds that Jesus has on His body from going to the cross for our sins. Jesus loves us so much that He was willing to take the punishment that was rightfully ours And take it upon Himself. Also there are friends, True friends that would suffer for you and I. Those that would walk through the valley of the shadow of death with us and stand by our side through thick and thin. On the other hand there are those that will seem sweet and caring and loving but when the rubber meets the road so to speak, They are gone in a moment and you don’t see them or hear from them again. And not only that but there are those that will deceive you into doing things you shouldn’t and it calls this the kisses of an enemy. What an ugly thing to do to someone to be sweet and kind knowing that in the end you will do something very evil to that person. There are plenty of people like that in the world and that’s why we need to be so careful about who we choose as friends. Proverbs Chapter 18 and verse 24 says, A man who has friends must himself be friendly, But there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. The Best friend anyone could ever have is, You guessed it, Jesus! “Faithful wounds OR The enemy’s kisses” and the choice is up to us. Be careful how you choose. Thank you for your prayers for our family. We sure do appreciate everybody that is praying for us! Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
