Good day to you all from Texas and my goodness the corruption that is being exposed right before our eyes in our country It is disturbing to say the least. Please continue to pray for our ice officers that are going into these places and arresting these scoundrels! “God’s Law ?” Is the title of our devotion today. Proverbs Chapter 3 verses 1 and two says, my son, do not forget my law, but let your heart keep my commands. For length of days and long life and peace they will add to you. When this speaks of God’s law It is not speaking necessarily of the 10 commandments but the whole counsel of God. If you want to get a good measuring stick on how we are to live our lives according to God read Matthew chapter 5 through 7, It is called Sermon on the Mount. It is the longest sermon Jesus ever gave and it covers life in general.
In Matthew chapter seven and verse 12 there is a verse that people call the Golden Rule. It says, therefore, Whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the law and the Prophets. We all have been treated badly by somebody in our life And it sure leaves us wanting to do something evil.. As God’s people we should never treat people badly even those that are knuckleheads. I always think of Jesus on the cross after they had beaten Him, falsely accused Him, and hung him on that cross. Jesus looked out to the crowd and said, Father forgive them for they know not what they do. What a great example to follow after.
Our God came and He lived the life He wants us to live, He showed us the way and how we are to behave ourselves especially in the dark times we are living in. God’s law will draw people to God because God’s law is love! Have a wonderful blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
