Guard Your Heart

Good day to you and I found out last night that our brother Marty Nelson had a stroke and he was taken to the hospital unresponsive. So please pray for Marty and his wife Mary who is on Hospice right now. I love this couple. They are truly awesome Christians.

Today our devotion will be called, “Guard your heart ” 1st Timothy 6:20 says, O Timothy! Guard what was committed to your trust, avoiding the profane and idle babblings and contradictions of what is falsely called knowledge. We’re living in a time when our heart can be polluted by so many different things. Whether it’s anger, greed, lust or any other of the works of the flesh because they are also prevalent today. We have access to everything on our phones and sometimes that’s a good thing and sometimes it’s not. But the best way to guard our heart is through prayer and the reading of God’s word.

I know that personally watching the news these days will get me very upset and wanting to break my TV because of all the deception and evil that is promoted even on the news every day. And so many people are falling into the trap of hating other people because of what they stand for. We’ve come to a place where we can’t even rationally discuss our beliefs and ideas anymore. What is the solution to this Problem that has been plaguing our country for some years now? I believe the only answer is a revival, a true revival Where God’s people get real and unbelievers begin to get saved. When the Holy Spirit is leading a country love will be the fruit of that movement! and right now we are far from it! So please pray for our country for those that are losing loved ones every day because of all the hate in the media and pray for revival. Have a wonderful blessed day and Weekend and always remember that Jesus loves you!
