Happy Thursday to everybody and thank you to those that came on last night. It was a great time of fellowship online. Our devotion is called, ” Happy camper ” Proverbs chapter 17 and verse 22 says, A Merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Sometimes I will watch clean comedies and have a really good laugh. The word here in Proverbs 17 and verse 22 when it says a merry heart does good like medicine really could say makes medicine. So God made us in such a way that when we are laughing and our heart is merry It is healthy for our body and the opposite is true that if we are downtrodden and have a broken spirit it dries the bones In other words it is unhealthy to be that way all the time. So would being joyful fit this? I believe it would. Remember what Psalms chapter 16 and verse 11 says, you will show me the path of life; in your presence is fullness of joy; At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. There used to be an old song that said if you wanna be happy for the rest of your life, never make a fancy woman your wife Go for my personal point of view Get an ugly girl to marry you And that’s not true. But if you do want to be happy for the rest of your life get in the presence of God and it’ll be health to your bones and medicine to your soul. And so, A Merry heart does good, like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. The choice is up to you, Happy Camper or the sky is falling. Have a wonderful blessed day, Life is too short to live a miserable existence so be a happy camper and remember that Jesus loves you!
