Good day to you all and it’s just two weeks until Christmas 2025. It’s easy to forget the reason for the season when things get so busy around Christmas but remember the reason we are celebrating, It is Jesus! ” Have it Your way ” Is the title of our devotion today. In what we call the Lord’s Prayer Luke Chapter 11 verses 2 through 4 Jesus tells us to pray Your kingdom come Your will be done. In this prayer we are telling God to have it His way. But how often do we think about that in our day to day living, Lord your will be done. When I say the words Have it your way I think of Burger King and how they say in their song, that special orders don’t upset us. Well I think sometimes we get upset when God replaces our plans to fulfill His.
And it’s not easy to put aside our own needs and thoughts all the rest and say Your kingdom come Your will be done. God’s ways so often are very hard to follow. Such as, love your enemies, do good to those that spitefully use you, humble yourself and on and on. But all those things that Jesus taught us in Sermon on the Mount are for our own good. And for the good of others because God wants us to live a good prosperous peaceful life here on His planet. Always remember that the things God tells us to do is because He loves us and he wants nothing but the best for us. So hopefully we can all say to the Lord today, have it your way in my life today!
