Good day to you all from Texas and I pray your day is blessed and that we are all looking up for our redemption draws near. Our devotion is called, ” Sometimes you have to take the dog by the ears ” Proverbs chapter 26 and verse 17 says, He who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears. As a rule it’s a good thing to mind your own business but I believe there are exceptions to the rule and I want to talk about those exceptions. If I see somebody beating up a girl even though I don’t know them, and this is just me, I believe it’s my responsibility to try and help that girl. Now if they are just having an argument having words, then that’s none of my business. Or if I see a police officer wrestling with someone and that person is getting the better end of the police officer, even though I don’t know either one of them I believe it would be my responsibility to help the police officer. Now these are exceptions and there’s probably more but the rule is, mind your own business. If the situation has nothing to do with you and nobody is getting physically injured then I think our best thing to do would be to back away and pray over the situation. This would probably apply more in the church. Where we get to know one another but the person is not really family and we know that they’re having issues. I believe to come into that situation and start giving counsel without being asked would fit this situation. And once again the better thing to do would be to be a prayer warrior for them. So he who passes by and meddles in a quarrel not his own is like one who takes a dog by the ears, in other words, you’re gonna get bit! So let’s love one another, care for each other, and grow in the Lord! Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
