Staying Hungry

Happy hungry week and it’s okay to overeat during thanksgiving. ” Staying hungry ” is the title of our devotion today. Matthew 5:6 says, Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness for they shall be filled. They estimate that a normal human being that lives a normal lifespan will eat approximately 35 tons of food in their life. As I get old I realize that, because time seems to go by so fast how much I eat, Not that I overeat but I just seem to stay hungry kind of like my boxer pups. We should have a hunger for God’s word like we have for food. Jesus said that we are blessed when we hunger and thirst after Him and His word. Why are we Blessed? Because His words have eternal life, His words are a light and a lamp to our feet, Psalm 119:105. His word produces faith Romans 10:17.

Staying hungry is a good thing because without food we cannot exist and that is how God designed us, We need food and water and how much do we need the Word of God in our lives every day? More than we could imagine if we are honest. So I would encourage you To read your word every morning because it is so important for your soul. We become malnourished when we do not have the right foods and we will become spiritually challenged when we do not have God’s word in our hearts. Build your faith by reading the word of God everyday and you will be ready to give an answer for the hope that is in you! 1st Peter 3:15. Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week and please continue to pray for Steve King, Tom Prokop, and Ruben Ramirez, for complete healing. and always remember that Jesus loves you!
