Good day to you all and happy Friday. I pray we all have a blessed and safe weekend. The title of our devotion today is called, ” Teach your children well ” Proverbs chapter 22 and verse six says, train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. Children are like little sponges They just take in everything around them when they are little. I’m watching my little grandson Jamison learning so much being so little and beginning to just talk all the time. And right now is the time when those little ones need to be taught about Christ and morality. And not just that but that we would show them how to live a good life that the mom would show how to be a good wife and Mom, that the dad would show how to be a good husband and Father. We are given such a great responsibility by God to raise His children And we turn around and the next thing we know they’re teenagers and then they are grown up having their own children. I have been told by so many people that they wish they would have done a better job raising their children and I totally understand. But at the same time if your children are still alive then you still have the chance to be a good example and to train them even now as adults. To train up a child in the way they should go I believe is telling us to take an interest in your child and see what they love to do and bring that out in them, Whether it’s sports or music or whatever it might be, to encourage them in heading that direction and while doing that be praying with them and reading God’s word to them. Let’s not ever give up on our children, Let’s always love them like Christ loves us and help them on their journey through this life because we have no idea what they’re going through inside their heart. When they are old they will not depart from it and my prayer for my children is that they would have a close walk with Jesus Christ. Have a wonderful blessed weekend and always remember that Jesus loves you!
