The Correction of a Good Father

Good Monday morning to everybody and I pray that you have a blessed day today. Our Devotion is called, ‘ The correction of a good Father “. Proverbs chapter 3 and verse 12 says, For whom the LORD loves He corrects, just as a father the son in whom he delights. And the same thing is found in Hebrews chapter 12 verses 5 and 6 which says my son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him, for whom the LORD loves he chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives. This might seem harsh but it’s showing love. A parent that ignores their child when the child is being unruly is a parent that does not love that child. True love will stop a child from going in the wrong direction even if it takes some serious discipline.

As We Grow from a child to an adult we learn what to do and what not to do through discipline. If there is no discipline there will be no control and if there is no control you will find yourself in a lot of trouble throughout your life. When it says the LORD corrects it means that something is being done wrong! And we find the wrong in Galatians 5 Verses nineteen through 21 when it speaks of the works of the flesh. Our Heavenly Father desires for us to live a good life and in order for that to happen He corrects and chastises us to get on to the right path and that is the straight and narrow path that leads to heaven. If you’re getting out of line and heading off in a direction that’s not of God you should be feeling this correction If not you’re in a dangerous place. Repent and get back to Jesus! God loves you and He loves me. Let’s love him back by being obedient. Have a blessed and wonderful day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
