With and Without

Happy Cinco de Mayo to everybody today and I pray you have a wonderful blessed day. Our Devotion Today is called, ” With and without ” Proverbs chapter 16 and verse 8 says, Better is a little with righteousness, than vast revenues without justice. When we think of with and without often we will think of necessities like food clothing shelter and sometimes even finances. How often do we think of righteousness and justice? Having just a small amount with righteousness isn’t a bad thing It’s actually a good thing. And some would think having vast revenues would be a good thing but without righteousness it’s a bad thing. It would seem that the whole world has things backwards because most people think that those who have great riches are the ones that are so blessed when in actuality it’s the ones that have very little but they have righteousness Who are the blessed ones.

In the book of Isaiah chapter 55 and verses 8 and 9 it says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are my ways your ways, says the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts then your thoughts. I’m not saying that we can’t have great riches and be blessed because there are many who do. But the blessings do not come completely from the riches, the blessings come from God Almighty. I will close this devotion with a quote from Jesus in Matthew chapter 6 verses 19 and 20. Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth. Where Moth and Rust Destroy and where Thieves break in and steel. But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal verse 21, for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Have a blessed day and always remember that Jesus loves you!
